Who are we?
The Green River Community Association is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to enhancing and preserving our local community park.
Our Mission
Our mission is to gather the community into one cohesive group which will fairly represent the Green River Community's interests. Located in Tuxedo North Carolina, the community is on the front range of the Blue Ridge Mountains and has the Eastern Continental Divide as its northern limits. Beside picturesque Lake Summit and along the Green River valley, residents enjoy one of the most beautiful locations in Henderson County.

Lake Summit
Lake Summit is a local favorite for outdoor fun! With its calm, scenic waters, it’s the perfect spot for swimming, fishing, and all kinds of water sports. Whether you're casting a line, swimming with the kids, or just enjoying a peaceful paddle, Lake Summit offers something for the whole family to enjoy.
Local residents, if you're planning to take your boat out on Lake Summit, you’ll need a boat sticker for your watercraft. It’s a bit of a process (we won’t lie), but totally worth it to enjoy everything the lake has to offer. Follow the “LEARN MORE” link above for more information.
